As a prank, they had wrapped Manneken-Pis in puttees \u2212 strips of cloth worn around the lower leg. In addition to the outfit, the statuette received the rank of Honorary Corporal of the Light Infantry Battalion. A few years later, in 1920, Manneken-Pis was also presented with the insignia of the former combatants\u2019 Association, known as <em>Les Poilus de France<\/em> (\u00ab the hairy \/bearded ones of France \u00bb),an informal term for a FrenchWorld War I infantryman.<\/p>\r\n","fav":"0","fav_l":"0","don":"Commander Ducornez","d_y":1919,"d_m":3,"d_d":6,"d_s":-1}
