Ambiorix was the leader of the Eburons, a Gallic people who inhabited the north of Belgic Gaul. He inflicted a crushing defeat on the Roman legions in 54 B.C. becoming one of Belgium\u2019s national heroes in the latter half of the 19th century.<\/p>\r\n","fav":"0","fav_l":"0","don":"The Tongeren-Tournai Exhibition","d_y":1986,"d_m":10,"d_d":3,"d_s":-1}
