This procession, which was created in the 16th century, is organised in honour of Saint Foillan (Feuillien in French), a 7th-century Irish monk who came to Belgium as a missionary and founded the abbey of Fosses-la-Ville. The procession is one of the Marches of the Entre Sambre-et-Meuse in the Walloon Region, a series of traditional walks that take place from May to October. They are dedicated to particular saints and accompanied by an armed escort.<\/p>\r\n","fav":"0","fav_l":"0","don":"The Royal Society of the Congolese Company of Fosses-la-Ville","d_y":1992,"d_m":5,"d_d":2,"d_s":-1}
