The <em>volador<\/em> dance is a ritual ceremony. It involves both a dance and five participants climbing a 30-metre pole, to which four of these are attached by their legs with ropes. They then leap from the pole into the air, turning as they descend towards the ground. The fifth participant stays on top of the pole, where he dances and plays a flute and a drum.
