The non-profit is made up of the bearers of Samson, the processional giant of the Ducasse d'Ath festival, who has appeared in the procession since 1679. This figure evokes the biblical character from the Old Testament and is the symbol of the Brotherhood of Athois cannoneers and harquebusiers. In 2019, to mark the 340th anniversary of Samson, the non-profit organisation samson350 was set up to count down 10 years until Samson's 350th anniversary in 2029. They are therefore celebrating the 345th anniversary by dressing up another national symbol, the Manneken-Pis.<\/p>\r\n","fav":"0","fav_l":"0","don":"ASBL Samson350","d_y":2024,"d_m":3,"d_d":14,"d_s":-1}
